Surprise Feeling! - Blog Day #15

Hey!
So its extremely late at night and I should be sleeping technically... But i couldn't sleep so I decided to keep updated on what's happening. So I have been working very hard at my job outside my house {its a job that i don't necessarily love... or like for that matter but I get paid fairly well for it} But either way I do find it hard to keep enough energy {and my feet not being sore or stuff} and motivation after my shifts to work out so I try to do them in the morning.

So with this new sensation for me I thought I would share what I can do to get rid and to motivate myself to get up earlier to work out. Also sometimes just making the extra effort to get your body moving intensively is a drag...

So when I am battling these crazy feelings I find that its really great to just listen to some of my favorite up-beat music. {This is the type of music that when you listen you want to get up and start dancing...}
Also with this you should be visualizing and making goals for your long term {what you want physically and emotionally for you in six weeks to six months to six year... etc} also for short term and the goals for the workout and the day.

So I hope these helped you and seeing as it is super late this is all I can say at the moment.

My Weekly Workout Schedule - Blog Day #10

Hey!

So my sister is coming home tomorrow night, and I have to clean the house and be getting it all ready for her arrival. This also means that she will more than likely be taking the laptop I have been using so I really need to fix my laptop.

I have started my 35 day routine to get a great school body, but I didn’t get to writing out the schedule that I am using. This schedule I have put together based on Zuzana’s Summer Body 6 week workout routines, and the “iwantsickpackabs.com” abdominal and muscle building challenge.

For Monday, Wednesday, and Friday:

I will be doing an intensive bodyweight interval training routine which I am either creating myself or following Zuzana’s daily workouts from her blog www.bodyrock.tv

For Tuesday and Thursday:

I will be doing 20 minutes of intensive cardio and core workouts.

For Saturday:

I will be doing at least 20 minutes of my choice of a cardio exercise. {I will be doing this as often as possible, my goal is every week.}

For Sunday:

I will be having this day to rest completely although I will be incorporating yoga as much as possible {my goal is every week.}

So I am sorry for not posting this earlier, but I got it up finally.

Blog Day #7 And Inspiration

Hey all!

So I know I missed a couple days of writing and making movies on YouTube but I am back!! And although I wasn't able to write I continued with working out.

I have been still a bit behind in motivation for today {I find that since the weather here is really raining and cold it also affects my mood} so I was looking on YouTube for inspirational workout videos and I found a story of someone who did a 16 week program to loos fat mass and gain muscle. They finished and now look great and they keep inspiring others to do the same. And for me, just seeing his transformation really made me want to continue taking care of myself.

As I have also been researching about how to stay motivated throughout the whole process of working out. Something that I got from Jillian Micheal's is that you need to have a written list of what is stopping you from working out, and why you need to be taking care of yourself. Also you need to be setting goals for yourself and what you wanna get out of working out. {Not just looks but also health and lifestyles etc.}

Well I am going to do my workout and hopefully these words of inspirational things that move me will help you also.

Blog Day #4

Hey there!

So on my fourth day I realized that I have a hard time motivating myself and not postponing the workout for like an hour or two {or more} when I have nothing much to do during the day. And with this I keep thinking... "oh I have nothing better to do later today so I can do it then..." Which is totally not a good thing to start in, because once it starts now once school starts its going to get horribly worse with more work needed to be done.

So I am doing my workout late {and sadly right before bed}... I do have to work all weekend, so I am planning to wake up early and do my workouts before I have to go to work. Also I always like to put powder {at least} on my face before work because I find I tend to get a bit sweaty and a bit shiny in the face... {I also am working around hot coffee and donuts... I work at a Tim Horton's so I like how it doesn't make me so shiny looking.} Also a must before leaving my house is a shower, I never wanna go anywhere with old sweat on my body. {Not only does it make you feel gross, and your hair shiny but it may start to smell... I am lucky that my sweat naturally doesn't smell bad. I't only starts to smell bad on anyone's body once it has been left on you or your clothes for a while and once bacteria starts to grow in it.}

Today I don't feel really good {well at the moment} I had to run to some nursing homes earlier in the day for family stuff. But then I had a huge need to taste chocolate and I am sad to say I totally over indulged and ate way too much... {and I rarely eat chocolate so the all-of-a-sudden burst of sugar is giving me a headache and a stomach ache} but I am not letting that hold me back from doing my workout. I have seen that this is one of my weaknesses that I will need to work on: not over indulging in the things that aren't good for me but taste good.

I hope you all have a great day, and I'll be posting the video on my youtube channel: carbone2012 as soon as possible.

Blogging Day #3

Hey all!

So I am in the midst of uploading the third blog video.
Today I had planned to go to the beach but the weather forecast-ed for rain, and earlier in the day it was really cloudy and didn't look good at all so everyone canceled. But it turned out to be a great day, so I went to the pool instead. I did get some photos of me at the pool and some of the exercises I do there {because I am an exercise geek and am always looking for new ways to strengthen my body and be active wherever I am} but I will get some of those photos up as soon as possible.

So for today I did do my makeup and hair when I got home from the pool, and it was more fooling around and trying new looks to see what would be great for the first day of school. And as it approaches {I know there is quite a while before it actually gets here} but I am excited for starting new things and hanging with people... But of course I am not very thrilled of being stuck in school ALL day. {Plus this means that winter is coming and I am not a huge fan... its too cold so you can't be outside in a bikini. :P} But it will be a great winter and I will make sure of that!!

Have a great day!!

Selena's Blog Day #2

Hey guys,
So I know that i missed actually writing the blog day from yesterday... I only got to post the video which you can see here. Sorry for being behind in the blog posts.

Also the workout that I did was one of Zuzana's workouts and it totally burned! And you can find that here.

So for this day I was focusing on a muscle building interval training workout. {This one made my ass burn really bad! And it feels great!}

So I do know that before anyone goes back to school, you need to go for a back to school shop. {Not just for school supplies} But of course you kinda need a tentative shopping list of what to get... which I sorta have at the moment but still can't go shopping for a while.

When I have time to go on my back to school shopping day I will post a fashion haul of what I got... Which reminds me I need to do that with some clothes and a new backpack that I got before but never posted... Well when I get to it i'll post those up also.

Blogging Journey #1

Hey guys,

So I am going back to school in 35 days {technically 34 days now} but when I go back to school I don't wanna lose my motivation and routine. So I am starting a blog for the 35 days until school in which I will be doing my workouts and exercises and my daily routines. This will hopefully get me into a good habit for when I get back to school... Plus I am doing all my workouts from my own home with little space.
To see my video click here.

You can also find the workout I did my modification based on at http://www.bodyrock.tv/category/archives/ab-torture-workout/

Above is a photo of Zuzana during one of her workouts and you can see the sweat glistening on her body. When I found her workouts I was working out but none of the workouts made me sweat. Thank you Zuzana for your amazing website and workouts!!

I am a big fan on Zuzana's training methods and her motivation to keep exercises. This really makes me think about when I am older that I want to look and feel great. I also don't want to be one of those elderly people who can't move and have so many diseases that they could have prevented earlier in their life.

Hopefully through seeing my journey you can start a journey of your own to exercising and taking care of your bodies. :)

If Only, If Only

I have been thinking about problem areas... or areas where we may like our body but not like how much fat or how much muscle we have on a part of our body. A common place for these is the thighs, lower belly, and ass. And many times people are asking fitness professionals and personal trainers what exercises will burn the fat there...

The answer to these kind of questions is...
There is no exercise that focuses on fat loss on just one part of the body. Full body workouts that use large muscle groups burn fat from your whole body. Also incorporate the muscles in the part that you dislike.

BUT you cannot just burn fat from one area of your body... so when you do full body exercises you will be burning fat from your whole body. This will target all those "problem areas" that you wanna focus on.

I know it may be discouraging if you like everything you see but an area that is a "problem area" but if you continue with working out regularly and eating a healthy diet you will see the difference.

Also I strongly encourage you to try a variation of intensities in your workouts and to challenge yourself to beat your personal best.

Keep working hard and motivating yourself to work your body!!

Have a great day :)

Pamper Yourself With What YOU Love

Hey all!

So a new concept that I have been thinking about is do something you love to do that uplifts you... and although this doesn't sound much like a new concept but it is!!! And its one I am so EXCITED ABOUT!! We need to be taking time out of our busy lives and pampering ourselves and enjoying that hour or two of that much needed me time.

Personally I enjoy interval training because it helps making the time for maximum intensity but sometimes I just have to do a time challenge or something to mix it up. Also I love enjoying the suns rays and going to the beach {always remembering to bring a full water bottle or two} Since this is something I love it motivates me to keep active and to make my workouts and my days for unique.

The downside and some things I need answers to are like: What if you only love something that keeps you in the house for a long time and not active? And people's likes and dislikes will vary so much and its important to know this. Also to know that from day to day your small likes will also change depending on how you are feeling and other aspects of life.

As an example of people's likes changing depending on things... Is for some girls when they have "that time of month" or their period {yes boys... I dared and said it in public} some girls when this time comes they don't wanna move around too much because they have horrible cramps. While others can't stop having energy and being so pumped to feel like a woman.
Yes having a good diet and exercising regularly helps with knowing your body, and comes with so many great benefits for both guys and girls. {I'll share some of these with you in a later post}

But to motivate you is to do the things you don't enjoy whether it be exercising really hard or playing a video game. The key to them is do them in moderation and do them in a balance.

I remember asking my Nonno {my grandpa, I am from a major Italian family so I call him from his Italian name} but I asked him through a hard time with my Nonna {grandma, his wife} what he was doing that he enjoyed. It was surprising to him that he should be doing something and he actually didn't know what to say or do because he wasn't raised that you take time for yourself. And this is not a healthy thought process.

Everyone needs to do something they love! In balance and in moderation but you need to have a positive outpost for negative energy to have good health in all aspects of life.
As you eat a healthy diet and exercise regularly you will start to love it and feel energy by it and just give it time but also after a workout when you have time in your day do something uplifting for yourself. This will motivate you to continue taking care or yourself physically.
And I want to know what are some of the things that you readers love to do! This could be a day at the spa, golfing or playing soccer or just sitting to watch a chick flick.

Enjoy taking care of yourselves!!!
